The best motivation is really yourself. Never go to the gym because of a break up or because you're doing it with friends. Once you get over him/her or your friends drop out, so will you. Bring some music, ignore all others and be the best of yourself. I was always competitive in high school, and loved physical actives, so me staying motivated is easy.
Or you can go to the through the supplement route, i have some good pre workout recommendations but that's a whole different story.
