Yup, that is what always happens with sports/sporty cars. Look at the Z, RX8, S2000, etc...
They all sell well at first, then drop off rapidly because they are niche cars or toys.
People will always need work trucks and family sedans, so the F150 and Camry/Corolla will always sell.
