Scion is Toyota, surprise! When I take my car in it doesn't get serviced by Scion techs. I don't go to a Scion dealership to buy it or to get parts. It's all Toyota. Just think of Scion as a Toyota trim level.
And Toyota has plenty of history of their own. Both good companies with different pros/cons.
