i really wanted to go to this one but will be in mammoth. lift tickets are more expensive than the full track day ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)
i'd go test out some helmets at Cycle Gear or whatever is available to you, then order a sub-$100 helmet. Same amount of protection, heavier and less ventilation. If you start tracking seriously, you can sell the helmet on craigslist (or keep spare for your wife?) and then go buy yourself a nice helmet.
If you rent a helmet, bring your own head sock. My bro in law didn't and luckily I had a spare shirt he could use.
