This is all based on the premise that i think a lot of average guys buy wheels, tires, and lowering springs. Just would be nice for most guys to show up seeing they're in the "slowest" class and to not be indimiated.

Just throwing this out for discussion, the 0.5 would actually favor the purpose built "stock car imo as it also aligns with SCCA solo stock class more.
Likewise, every class will eventually probably see purpose built cars for that class, that will outpase the rest of the cars in the class.

Ultimately, the driver mod will be the primary determining factor.
