Question is, which is better... spray on, or liquid? The spray on looks like it takes FOREVER to cure, and I have to do 4-6 coats, whereas the liquid looks like 2-3 dips and you're good to go. Anyone have any experience with this as far as prep work / use / satisfaction and which they prefer.

I'd caution you against the red. The pigment bleeds from it into whatever you dip. It may also get in/on the paint of your car over time. Red is the only color I know of that does this with plasti dip.
I've rattle canned a few things with the black and it was easy just watch some YouTube videos and take your time. Make the last coat a little thick and it self levels and smooths.
