Almost everyone will try to tell you or make you feel like you made a mistake by buying an automatic. Try one. You will either find that it suits your needs or it won't. Make your own choice. I chose an automatic because it works for me. I don't regret my decision at all. Just annoying how some people consider it less manly or how it kills the conversation when they find out that it isn't a stick. There are far worse automatics than the one in the FR-S (and actually it is one of the best). A dual clutch would have been good as well, but, at least it isn't a CVT.
