Did this last night. I was a bit aggressive with getting the adhesive residue off, even with Goo-Gone, and left some micro-scratches around that area. Too faint and small for me to care though, thankfully.
For future reference, use your fingers to
roll off the sticky stuff, don't pick at it with your nails!!!
