I love SR20s but I wouldn't waste my time with it for this car. The motorset will only cost $2,000 or so but then you're going to have to do all the custom stuff to make everything work. So by the end of it, you'll be in no less than $4,000 if I were to guess.... all to end up with the same amount of HP, same number of cylinders, and a little more torque. In reality, the SR and FA have near the same limitations. Both can handle up to near 400hp on stock internals but they both have glass transmissions compared to the JZ motors. With the SR swap, you'll end up spending nearly 85% of what it would cost to do a 1J. I would just spend the extra 15%. It's worth it.
The VVTi 1JZ is perfect because it will cost about $1,000 more than the SR for the full motor set and roughly the same amount of custom work since they both require the same stuff (custom mounts, brackets, wiring etc). The difference is that instead of ending up with a 200hp/tq car, you have a 280hp/tq car and with the additional bolt on parts and tune you'll do to get it in the car and running properly, you'll be between 300-350whp/tq. That's not even close to pushing the motor yet. That motor will be good for 500whp easy with the proper tuning.

Got my Stance LCAs in last week and also ordered the differential risers from PSM to help with the stupid axle angle. Those should be here next week.
I'm deploying in two weeks or so, so this will probably be the last actual update for a while.
Plans while I'm gone include:
Tomei 2-way diff
DSS Axles
Stance Subframe Collars
Adj. sway bars and endlinks
and maybe a few other small bits. Or possibly just some extra wheels and tires since I only have the Enkei's now and don't have any spares besides the shitty stock ones. We'll see what happens.
