It all comes down to what you want who cares what anyone else says. People who laugh at your for having an automatic can go get back in their car and not ride in yours. They are not making any payments so I could care less.
I will admit I did not know how to drive a manual when I bought this car so that is why I went with the automatic and I am happy with my choice after learning to drive a manual. I do not race or autocross, I drive to and from work and around town, I could care less about fractions of a second to 60mph because you can't drive like that in traffic. Also if someone is defining masculinity by choice of transmission then I feel sorry for them because they are immature and are insecure about themselves.
