Honestly, I was fairly tempted to go the A/T route. I decided to go with a M/T for several reasons:
- I wanted to re-learn stick as I think it's a valuable skill to have
- It's dumb, but I feel like there's a secret society of M/T drivers and I wanted to be in on it
- I get too bored in traffic if I'm not having to shift (drove my previous car a couple days ago, A/T 2006 Maxima, almost fell asleep at the wheel during rush-hour traffic)
- Because racecar
- Lastly, it's a fairly effective theft-deterrent in the U.S.
