The automatic is very good, but there are enough differences between AT and MT transmission to make assumptions about the car and driver.

The manual is very direct feeling and rugged, but feels good none the less- you have to do more work shifting through short gear ratios; The AT is very smooth and viscous, holds torque well and feels precise on gear changes.
