I would consider a car that came turbocharged from the factory to have an acceptable amount of lag (edit: Or transient response?)
I used to have a Turbo 300ZX back in the day that was putting down big power, and if you hit the throttle at 3500RPM there would be a very noticeable lull between throttle input and spool. I guess it's hard to put into words what I consider to be acceptable for what I want to accomplish. Would you consider something like the AVO kit to be on the low side for lag out of all the kits available?
