Yeah, we would be the first. The thing is everybody thinks the 2J is the only way to go but most don't realize that if you include the 6spd trans that the 2J is famous for, a 1J swap will LITERALLY cost nearly half as much.

The 1J with the basic bolt ons to fit and tune wil still yield close to 350whp. The 1J is capable of holding 500whp on stock internals. The amount you would spend just to get a 2J into the car and make stock power could get a 1J in the car with a solid 400+hp setup.

I think the only way I'll keep this car is if I go 1JZ. I keep seeing more and more scenarios of people popping the FA motor under stock power levels. I don't want to S/C it and beat the shit out of it just for it to fall apart after 1 season. I know the 1JZ will take the beating all day everyday.

So, if I don't go 1JZ, I'll probably end up parting it out, going back to stock, and selling the car
