I did have a comprehensive claim come back to bite me once. On my 1986 MR2 that I'd put $12k into, I contacted a classic car insurance company about getting insured on a limited mileage classic car plan. They refused to give me a quote because I'd had a comprehensive claim getting a rock chip repaired in the windshield ($70). Free rock chip repairs were part of my policy, so I took advantage of it. I thought that was total BS, but what ya gonna do.
