its stupid to compare a used car to brand new. if you looked hard enough, you could find many of yesteryear's more powerful cars for less than the cost of a new twin, but keep in mind you will also be buying someone else's headaches; especially if its a used sports car which was more than likely beaten on.
with that said, if the twins didn't come out, I would not be looking at any other new car at the moment as they are mostly overpriced for what they offer.
