Zgrinch, I got my SUV's Full Hood, Full Front Quarter Panels, Grill, Headlights, Mirrors, and partial Rear Quarter Panels for close to $2k. If you are in Norcal area, the guys at Premier in Fremont, CA did mine. (
http://premiermobilegroup.com/). They mostly wrap exotics and high end sport cars, but had no problem wrapping up my family SUV.

I think the film lasts for 3 years, it might be 5 years if you don't drive much.
They can also wrap your entire car, but I think its in the $5k - $6k region.
