One was another 2014 that just got the new pump installed, like me. The other two were both brand new 2014s that still had factory seals. All three had the exact same sound.
At this point, I'm not sure what to think. I know for a fact my car never made this sound before I brought it in, but on the other hand the dealership was able to reproduce it on three seperate FR-S in stock as a normal sound.
I'm going to record the noise on my next cold start and post it up, maybe you guys can clear this up for me. I'm unsure if I should even bother taking it to another dealership, as it seems like they are likely to tell me the same thing.

I'm almost certain you are hearing the direct injection. It was probably masked by the chirping. It's an odd noise at first but then you learn it's the sound of the engine working correctly. Just make a video and post up to see if that's in fact what it is.
