I experienced this from the dealer on delivery, I was ok with it because I was already going to be returning the car in 1 week for paint and fabric protection, I advised them of the marks from the shipping material before they applied the paint protection on my return the following week, the dealer assured me they would do a thorough detail job including CLAY BAR before applying the paint protection. needless to say the dealer did NOT properly clay bar and remove the adhesive left from the shipping materials and they applied the paint protection over the adhesive lines. I was so pissed off, I made a complaint to scion. I brought the car back a third time so that they could re apply the paint protection, they failed again. I gave up on them. I know the entire time I could have done a better job than the dealership at this, I gave them a shot, never again will I purchase paint protection from a dealer and never again will I let the dealer wash or detail another one of my cars. back to the OP tho. USE CLAY BAR, with ONR or another type of barrier spray so you don't mess up the paint, I know windex will work for this but I do suggest ONR lol
