We do what we do well and if we can do it quickly and make money, why should it matter? Every tech I work with cares about the quality of work they put into each car they work on whether they make good time on it or lose time. Don't make assumptions.

BS, you're the exception if that's true. I'm not making assumptions, I'm speaking from real world experience on both sides of the repair order. Notice I particular mentioned
dealerships, not repair shops which obviously can vary. A repair shop, if run intelligently, wants reliable customer loyalty. Dealerships don't have to earn trust, they get it for free based on the manufacturer's name attached to the side of the building. They have a very different set of rules, interests and concerns to go by.
Btw, I guarantee a good number of your clients came over due to bad experiences at the dealership. So don't pretend you live in a world where techs all care about the quality of their work or are even fully competent to complete the repair safely.
