don't be silly. Toe is what kills your tires. yes if you run EXCESSIVE camber it will eventually wear your tires, however on BOTH of my DD's i've always ran -2/-2.5 camber and had no issues what so ever. unless ALL you ever do is drive straight it is not an issue, camber helps you use ALL of the tire in corners.
and camber does not mean you have to be low, its the combination of both which allow you to pull off that sleek look.
on stock suspension you can get away with a +40/+38/+35 on a 8.5" wheel with a 245/40 tire and it would look flush, when you lower it you'll just add a spacer for flushness depending on how it sits.
