At the time I was driving a mk6 GTI which is a lot smaller than the mustang. The mustang looked good on the paper and that's why I went to see if I wanted to trade in my GTI. It was not a good fit for me. I am a skinny Asian. *shrugs*

Ooookay, that I can understand. Like yourself I'm pretty used to small cars so driving bigger cars usually feels a bit awkward for me. The one thing I can say though is after I got used to driving the 5.0 the car for it's price tag was IMO one of the best deals on the market.
P.S. Picture a Door with exercise balls underneath it at all four corners and what it's like to ride on top of that. That's what a Vic feels like.
