Well, I actually don't plan on even going to do emissions/safety...as I don't plan on having the car even last more than a summer.
A buddy of mine would buy $300-$500 cars/SUV's all the time. We'd drive them into the ground (literally) and if they broke, he'd just kinda lose it/give it away, then move onto the next one. This one time he bought this tiny old 85'ish Chrysler econobox beater. First thing he did was spray paint it blue and added these totally retarded flames, (we called it "blue balls") then we took it off-roading. We drove it off this little dirt jump going pretty fast and it slammed into the ground face first. The ghetto-rigged fuel pump ripped off the fuel line and the car sputtered to it's death. I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard. About 20 minutes later, after finding the pump in the bushes, we clamped it back onto the fuel lines and drove it back home.
Sigh... Such good times.
