Toyota reached number one in sales despite a lack of exciting cars.

Toyota is a publicly traded company, which means that it has an obligation to its shareholders to run a strong business. Not a passionate one.

For Toyota to reach number one, it had to focus on selling cars to the majority of the car buyers, not the distinct minority of enthusiasts.

For Toyota to even take on an endeavor like the LFA, it had to ensure that it had enough capital to do so and such an endeavor would not amount to waste. To create that capital, it had to ensure strong profitability through its most popular products. Corolla, Camry, Rav4, Highlander, and Sienna for Toyota, The IS, ES, and RX ranges for Lexus. The tC for Scion.

Modern car manufacturers are businesses first and foremost. All these grand ideals about passion and vivacity and the like fall by the wayside. This is a reality that you seem to be unwilling to grasp.

A better driving experience will not sell cars to my mother and father. Or the mother of 4 that needs a minivan or 3 row SUV. Or the middle management middle class office worker who has never cared about cars in his life. Or the parents of a bright eyed and bushy tailed 16 year old who they've decided to buy a brand new car for. A better PRODUCT will. Toyota succeeded in creating a brand image of quality, safety, and reliability. That is how they became number one. And those people are their target demographic. Good or bad is merely opinion, but this is the way the world is.
Yes, I am completely incapable of being objective.

Your superior logic is simply far beyond my elementary levels of comprehension. (This is the part where you paint my sarcasm as _______________ to prove that you are right and I am wrong.

Obviously, you neglected to read the part in one of my last posts where it is plainly made clear that we simply do not agree. And yet the world still turns...arguing on the internet...
