I was really interested in the GTI a few weeks ago, but there isn't a local VW dealer here and I have heard they can be expensive to repair/upkeep?
I have also been wanting to test drive a Mazda 3 for awile. My issues with it are that I worry about a lack of power on non-speed versions, and honestly the speed is probably more power than I need (combined with pretty bad fuel economy)
I'm also not crazy about the 3's looks.. I think I could live with the sedan but the hatch version looks goofy to me. None of them hold a candle to the Fr-S looks for sure.
