In Australian model, we have to press clutch to start the car, I dont know about US.
So did you do clutch bypass as well for the remote start?
Also think it might help if you could roughly tell me in which order you installed them..? eg, start button then immobiliser then....... etc
Thanks heaps, just want to organise as much as info I can before I order and install it.
EDIT: Cant seem to find installation guide on idatalink on their website, which guide did you use?

Yes, I did the clutch bypass with a automotive relay.
Wiring for the clutch bypass :
Terminal ----> Where the wire goes
86 ------> constant 12v = battery
85 ------> ground wire from remote start while its engaged. On Advance Keys System this wire is usually reffered to as the status output wire or ground when running.
30 ------> one of the two clutch switch wires
87 ------> the other clutch switch wire
I ordered both units as a package . You have to install the smart key system with one of the idatalink units 1st. Than the push to start system with the other idatalink.
Here is the guides to install the idatalink units for the FRS / BRZ. The first file is for the door locks and the other file is for the immobilizer bypass
