Seems the browns are showing up more frequently in the great white north (Canada).
They seem to have adapted to the winters by hiding under the barks of trees.
About 3 years ago buddy of mine was at a back yard barbeque in the city and was bit by one. He almost lost his leg. What saved him was the fact that the hospital had a smart doctor and the appropriate ant-venom, and that he is a huge guy almost 8 ft. tall (We call him Shrek).
Shrek still limps today.
