okay, so basically it's the tensioner that i'm having issues with. it's got too much play in it when i get on it, and that's why the belt is slipping off the pulleys.

this is what happened today:

basically the belt grabbed the harness, tore it up enough so wires touched, and shorted out my EFI fuse.
