Well, it's finished and working great. No new holes and I didn't cause any damage. I got the proper cable to connect the unit to the factory USB too.
Most all of my questions were answered by spending hours searching and browsing. Now I know a lot more about the vehicle and can answer a few myself.
The only remaining issue is where to connect the speed sensor? If anyone can enlighten me, I'd sincerely appreciate it.
