2nd FI unit - chirp - engine sounds broken
I'm have a BRZ and had the chirp within maybe 5k miles. Subaru replaced the FI part, and it was great again, for a while. Now it's HORRIBLE (10K later).
The chirp happens under ALL loads from idle up to almost 2K RPM.
And after driving for a while, you can hear it stopped at lights etc, regardless of ambient temps.
But when it's hot out, MAN is it annoying and LOUD. It really sounds like a bad water pump or other metal-on-metal problem.
I'm embarrassed to drive up near anyone when it's chirping loudly.
So I for one am very VERY interested in a real fix to this.
