When you are an automaker you kinda want to sell more copies of everything. So whatever it takes to put more 86/FR-S on the roads more power to Toyota.

If they do get built and thats a big if, but if you do not like a sedan, drop-top, or wagon/shooting brake than you don't have to buy one. I'm sure other people would like to have one.
