If any of you guys know that Scion United thing from 2008, I was one of the owners chosen to go to vegas and use my car in their advertising.
There was an insane amount of stuff that they gave us before, during and after.
got a package with vinyl stickers and a little plaque that, as they said, "would let others know you were chosen as part of Scion United" or something to that effect. was a small decal you could put in the window of your car and a plaque you could stick on your car somewhere letting you know you were XXX out of 500 at scion united. and a small branded folio book to hold stuff we would need while in vegas.
they payed for our rooms the entire weekend at a resort hotel (some people almost all week depending on what their car was needed for)
Visa cards with scion logos to pay for stuff while we were hanging out on our own.
When we were doing stuff with scion we got a day of going to different stations just doing and getting free stuff, they gave everyone messenger bags that were made out of old scion billboards, which are actually a lot sweeter then that may sound, lmao.
and then that night we got a concert with flo rida and redman.
open bar from dinner to when the bussed us back to our hotels early the next morning, and when the bars closed they just handed out the left over bottles if you asked nice, which probably wasn't in the agenda but whatever :P
after we got back home i got another package in the male that had more free stuff and a thank you letter and a poster where you could find your car and a personalized version of the magazine they had partnered with for a special issue where the regular generic cover was replaced with a personalized cover that had your name on it.
(you got to take a guest with you for this, so if you get to go do something chances are you can bring a friend)
also, it doesn't surprise me that jack actually signed these, he is a cool easy going guy when he doesn't have to be MR. VP.
He came to dallas in 2007, he and 4/5 of other corp marketing invited about 10 of us to dinner at a nice restaurant and we talked about how we thought the brand was doing and what we thought about several concepts they have floating around internally at that time, one of them was the HAKO concept that they unveiled a few months later. they actually made a change to it that we suggested, surprising and scary to think, lol.
Hollis even remembered me and my friend from that dinner, later at Scion United... he was walking around and we came up and said hello and he immediately said "hey, you're the guys from dallas, i am glad you got to make it here!"
so unless something has drastically changed on how scion corporate likes to drum up publicity, you guys are in for some sweet perks.

I told everyone that Jack Hollis was tight! Man, this VIP stuff sounds awesome. I wish I won First86.
