i like jason kidd a lot but i dont think it was crafty or smart at all. for starters, its not like its innovative at all. its just an old trick. the players/announcers/fans picked up on it right away and if fooled noone. since it wasnt a time out the lakers were able to be a part of kidds huddle so that play they drew up. maybe it would have been crafty if he didnt get caught or fined and then they won the game but it was a tacky move which is going to bring a negative spotlight to a rookie coachat a time when coaches in general have tough times keeping jobs with winning records and division titles.
