On most of the cast wheels I've dealt with (Gram Lights, 5Zigen, Enkei, SSR, etc) the offset is either etched on the backpad of the wheel, or on a sticker on the inside barrel.
Keep in mind we're talking Japanese wheels. I can't say the same for Taiwanese/Chinese/Filipino/Vietnamese/other "JDM" wheels...
