I was to assume that if you accidentally slip the clutch above 6k rpm that you might do damage. I love getting a chance to rev out 1-2nd gear to get good acceleration, but im not sure about the safety. Do you mean slamming the clutch into higher gears when redlining?

Concerning the nurburgring automatics which had the DI seal failures, I assume they might have run against rev limiter before shifting and causing damage.

If there's some engineering-speak I could get behind this it might turn into an actual conversation per the DO's and Don'ts of redlining; inviting input on this discussion.
