You are absolutely correct. I should not have quoted you and have removed that from my post.
I stand by my concern, though. Properly fitted tires on 9 inch rims are too large for this car. I have real issues with function taking a back seat to style when it comes to choosing rim/tire combinations. I have never understood the logic of stretching a narrow tire over a rim that is too wide for it. It just seems like it's begging for trouble.
