Ive owned the following and will rate accordingly:
1994 Mazda mx-3 1.6L - FRS with ESC is WAYYYYY faster
2004 Mazda Rx-8 manual (170-180whp 3000lbs) - FRS with ESC is much faster, FRS stock was about the same, maybe a little faster.
2009 WRX, Cobb stage 1(~240whp 3250lbs) - Very similar performance when supercharger. Bottom end of FRS is stronger..... midrange and top end is a toss up. VERY similar power to weight
2011 STI Cobb stage 1(~260whp 3400lbs) - Similar performance. STI kicks in harder at 4000 rpm once turbo spools. STi top end is better. Power to weight is similar so first couple of gears also feel similar.
