I want to hand the car over, sit in the car with the tuner (not to steal his secrets, but to learn what's going on) as he does his stuff. Who knows. Maybe I don't know to watch or listen for things that he does and thus wouldn't catch, or maybe I don't have a good area to do pulls at but don't know that and thus hand over not-so-good logs that you don't know are the result of a less-than-proper road. Who knows. If this was a project car and not my DD, sure, road tune. But not when it's my only car and I'm already risking the warranty and engine just by going FI or just getting tuned.
If you guys can do awesome road tunes, then I still figure you're even better on site
