I defend Toyota because I think they are given a lot of shit, and unreasonably so. It's kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. Especially for a company that has contributed so much the racing and motorsport world (an area I hold close to my heart).
I don't care what you like or don't like. I don't know you and I don't need to like you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I have a very broad taste in cars, so I can appreciate them in lots of aspects. I understand you wish the FR-S was turbo's and had more power and blah blah blah. Cool. I would get a turbo version too. In fact, I'd probably attempt to by one of each frikken variant, bank account be damned. But People are already bemoaning how expensive it's going to be. Add turbo hardware and how much do you think it would end up costing? Especially if it had to weigh an at the same curb weight. I do believe there will eventually be a factory turbo FR-S/BRZ. I'm also pretty sure that it will cross the $30k line. Sure... a lot of avg folks would talk about it, but would it sell? You can't get everything for nothing. The package Toyota is offering will do more for the industry and aftermarket (maybe that is making me biased?) than the Genesis ever could. Bring fun back to driving for Joe Blow. Light and cheap. I like it. And I say this to you sitting here after having completed a build on a ~350hp old school rwd that makes the FR-S look chunky by comparison.

This is where you screwed up Matador. Ask anybody who have seen my posts. I don't like TURBO's!!! I only ever said that I would like a "FA25" engine in the FR-S and that I think it would be perfect like that. I was only being positively critical about it. You even said you wished the GC was 400 lbs lighter and I totally agree with you because you was being the same way I was with the FA25 idea. We both have opinions that makes sense about both cars. But it doesn't mean that I am trolling because I say I would like a FA25. I think a 300hp+ turbo engine would ruin this car like others have asked for.
