but the REAL function was to exhaust cigar smoke or cigarette smoke to the outside and not have the wind blowing in. This meant for a more relaxed smoke. Of course, those were the days when they had as much as four (4) cigarette lighters (not electrical receptacles) in a car. (For cigars in cars such as Lincoln, Cadillac and Buicks and cigarettes such as Ford, Chevy and Plymouths). Today, it may have a different use but wouldn't help much, IYKWIM.
