I bought wheels with generic snow tires and TPMS off Craigslist for $200 for 16" rims, they have a safe 1 season left and I'll probably replace the rubber next year. They were previously used on a WRX.
I'm not sure what the deal with the TPMS is, I never changed anything or did anything with the computer, a couple hundred miles later I have yet to see a light, I thought I would need to bring it into a dealer with the new ones or the new ones would not be compatible, but no light yet.
