To be fair, what you are effectively asking is for them to do all the R&D they did to get the ECM flashable to the TCM and then spread that cost among everyone. The things that manuals get that autos don't are not a function of anything ECUTEK is or is not doing, you just have a transmission (and TCM) that they have not cracked yet for reasons that are not mine to speculate on.
If they had done the work and then spread the cost out to everyone it would be just as easy to say the manual drivers are being overcharged because of the extra R&D required for the automatic. It's a bummer for sure but it also is just the reality. I don't know what percentage of their market is auto, but I doubt it would be cost effective to spread the extra cost of TCM R&D around only those customers or even how they would manage that.
