It was actually fairly PnP as I'd replaced the factory HU with an aftermarket & it used pre-outs which hooked up to the amps as easily as the oem audio plus sync harness hooks up to the factory HU. Also, all speakers save for the rear tweeters went into the factory locations without fitment issues, & the sub had to be built & installed (no bigger deal than oem audio doing the same with their 8" sub)
So, yeah, my Sti's custom audio was nearly fully stealth & was nearly close to PnP as oem audio+'s is.
