What you are missing is probably the bill of sale... I know I'm nitpicking words here but it's important for YOU, the buyer, to understand what paperwork is missing and what you will eventually get from the state.

I have already spoken to the Title Agent @ Heuberger. My car definitely is titled; I received it in a Fedex package 2 days after I paid for the car. Or it was, until I lost the paperwork. The dealer is the only entity which can prove I own the car right now. CA knows nothing about the title, because I haven't registered the car yet.
The solution is to have Subaru print another title document and resend it.
