just curious because that was going to be my first mod originally-- all my other cars had been 5x114.3, so changing it up seemed odd, but the more i looked, anything i really wanted was already offered in 5x100 fitment....

It doesn't really screw with anything at all. I plan on getting the hubs, then having my brake rotors redrilled to 5x114.3.
I want to do 5x114.3 because wheels are more abundant in a larger variety of sizes, such as TC105's in 17x9.5, and Regamasters are almost exclusively 5x114.3, especially the GTR sizes.
Also, eventually I can do an STI brembo upgrade as well without buying 5x100 rotors.
