I filled up and set the average L/100km trip to get a 5.8L/100km reading back in my garage after 100km. I was careful but overtook a couple of cars and cruised at 117kph for half the trip home. That's 40.5mpgUS and about 39mpg actual consumption.
I think that's impressive.
My GTS is Nov 2013 build and I haven't had any of those issues, although there is a similar noise LHR but only as the car articulates over a drive entrance at an angle.
