I just came to say this:

Automatics have come a long way, and are actually pretty good these days. The one supposedly going into this car is supposed to be really good, so to those that want it, enjoy it.

Now, and this is true for F1, true for DTM, true for rally drivers, and true for your grocery getter, a manual transmission, one with the proper clutch pedal, will always, ALWAYS, be more involving than one missing the clutch pedal. I mean, it's by definition, it's called a manual because you're the one manually changing the gears at whatever RPM you feel like changing. If you look at Senna driving the MP4/4 McLaren, you can clearly see him shifting the turbocharged monster himself using a good ol 6 speed gearbox. He was more involved, but maybe because of that, he lost tenths of seconds to the shifting, something important to F1 races. Because of that, sequential gearboxes are better for racing, but, they are definitely less involving, making for, in my opinion, a less fun driving experience.
