To YOU. To 99% of the motoring public, including myself, there is little value to being able to accelerate to 60 in less than ~8 seconds on public roads. I do have a car that can do it in ~3.5, but I've probably never done it in less than 6.5 on the street.

Aren't you "trying to believe" that what is important to others must be identical to what (you think) is important to you? This is not the case...
If acceleration is that important to you, you could sell the FR-S and buy an LS1 F-body that's about 1.5 seconds quicker and 13mph faster in the 1/4, and have plenty of cash left over to offset the increase in fuel cost for many years to come!
