If you really want something as nice as an FR-S, I'd say save up your own money for at least two or more years. Don't put that financial stress on your parents and have them worry about you getting into a wreck everyday.
Here's my advice to you (advice from a 19 year old? wow), and this applies to generally everything you'll ever consider buying:Don't buy anything you yourself can't afford two of.
That simple little advice works for everything, believe me.

You aren't the only one with a clean record... granted I pulled some strings to keep it this way but since I was 16 till now I have an extremely clean driving record. Only tickets that I've gotten has been for window tint (limo in the front is a no go but !@#$ it), disturbing the peace (dont be bumping that music haha), and stupid stuff like license plate visibility. My insurance has gone down but I still fork up 1600/yr (frs), 1200/yr (r6) 1000/yr (camry)... all 3 are full coverage well the r6 has a few extra options too not to mention I pay the insurance bill up front so I dont have to deal with the month-month
