If you leave the blink wire ( B wire) unattached, zone 1 and V bar will still lit up at the same time.
Custom wiring is required if you want to make make zone 1 function independently while braking. (need to open up the lamp, find and splice the A wire, then attach the zone 1 part of the wire to braking wire)

Yes that video is exactly what I want. I'm not an electrician and I have no idea how to splice and cut wires though.
